CECU | Career Education Colleges and Universities
Earlier this summer, Congress provided $1.1 Billion in HEERF grants to our sector. This came after countless hours of negotiations and obstacles fought by CECU’s Government Relations team to keep sector schools included in the overall relief package.
In an effort to showcase how career schools are utilizing those funds to support students and ensure transparency, we are asking for schools to continue the conversation with us through this time of change. Share your challenges. Share your achievements. Share your student stories.
As an example, Education Affiliates surveyed 1,200 students from across the country who had received HEERF grants from their institutions to ask how they used such funds and provide any comments that described their experiences.
The responses blew us away! Nearly all students used these funds to afford basic needs after setbacks from the pandemic.
We know that many of our students across the country are in similar situations and still relying on these funds for survival.
Help us showcase how our schools are supporting students through these challenging times. Together, we can ensure our sector, our schools and our students continue to be included in federal policies of support like this.
